Charlsie CanteyCharlsie Cantey joined USA Network in December 2002 as a Reporter at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. Cantey will report on the progress of the competition and introduce viewers to the personal stories of the contestants.

Cantey is best known to television viewers for her work as an analyst for Triple Crown coverage of the Kentucky Derby, Preakness, and Belmont Stakes for both NBC and ABC Sports. In 2002, Cantey covered her 17th straight Triple Crown.

Cantey's television career began in 1975 when, while working as an exercise rider at Belmont Park, she was selected to co-host WOR-TV's racing shows with Frank Wright and Dave Johnson. Later, she was hired by CBS for commentary on the NFL, NBA, America's Cup, and horse racing, and worked there from 1977 to 1986.

Cantey also has been a key member of ESPN's Racing Across America series since 1985. Her current work with NBC Sports includes their Breeder's Cup coverage as well as Triple Crown races.

Cantey is a 1968 graduate of George Washington University. While attending college, Cantey became a thoroughbred exercise rider, and later saddled three stakes winners during a brief career as a trainer. She and her husband, Douglas Davidson, reside in Laurel, MD, and she trains and races thoroughbreds at various tracks throughout the mid-Atlantic.
