Border Collie Wins First Westminster Masters Agility Championship

Kelso, a 7-year-old Border Collie owned and handled by Delaney Ratner of Cape Elizabeth, ME, won the first Masters Agility Championship at Westminster Saturday night before a full house at Pier 94 in New York City.

The prize for the Best All-American (mixed breed) dog was won by Roo!, a 6 1/2 year-old Husky mix owned and handled by Stacey Campbell of San Francisco.

The agility event was the opening act of Westminster Kennel Club weekend, which continues Monday and Tuesday with its 138th Annual All Breed Dog Show.

Judges for the inaugural event were Andrew Dicker, of Reading, Berkshire, United Kingdom, and Lori Sage, of Oregon City, OR.
