Enthusiastic Entry Braves The Rain For Westminster's First Agility Match

A large entry of enthusiastic dogs and their handlers braved a constant rainfall on Sunday, May 19, in Old Bethpage, NY to be a part of the first ever Westminster Kennel Club Agility Match.

Admittedly, the rain probably held down the original entry of 135 runs, but Judge Susan Thompson of Monroeton, PA still had plenty to do. A collection of spectators equaled the dogs in their enthusiasm. The match was held in conjunction with the Long Island Kennel Club All Breed Dog Show.

Match Chairperson Thomas H. Bradley, 3d. and Match Secretary Harvey M. Wooding and their event committee oversaw the competition for all levels for Standard and Jumpers with Weaves.
