Mr. Espen Engh

Mr. Espen Engh was born into a family of greyhound enthusiasts which included his mother and his grandmother. His first greyhound litter carrying the Jet’s prefix was bred by Mr. Engh and his mother in 1975. To date, the still active kennel has accounted for more than 730 champions, 42 individual Best In Show winners, nine consecutive bitch generations of all breed BIS-winners, and three have been number one top dog all breeds in Norway in 2001, 2003, and 2013, owner/breeder/handled by Mr. Engh or his partner Åge Gjetnes. Recently a number of Brussels Griffon champions have also been bred under Jet’s banner. Mr. Engh started judging in 1984 and was approved to judge all breeds in 2011. He had judged in 95 countries, including 60 all-breed Best in Shows and a dozen American national specialties. In his professional life Mr. Engh is a veterinarian with a doctoral thesis in comparative medicine. This is his third Westminster appointment.
