Mrs. Mary Ann Alston

Mrs. Mary Ann Alston was a young child when she exhibited her first dog in 1956. She later purchased her first English Setter show dog and eventually became a professional handler, along the way breeding many top winners in English Setters, Irish Setters, Gordon Setters, and English Cocker Spaniels.  She is licensed to judge Sporting, Hound, and Working Groups, and Best in Show. Mrs. Alston retired from the American Kennel Club as the Director of Judging Operations. She attended her first Westminster in 1963, exhibited for the first time in 1965, and met her late husband, professional handler and 1954 Junior Showmanship winner George Alston, while exhibiting there. This is her third Westminster assignment.
