MRS. KENDALL HERR of Gainesville, TX and her husband, Dick got their first Labrador Retriever in 1963. The breed’s outstanding temperament made her an instant fan. She started her dog show career in the obedience ring and that evolved into showing and breeding under the Dickendall prefix. Mrs. Herr has the good fortune to have owned, bred, or borrowed some of the Labrador Retriever breed’s most important dogs.
Her most famous dog, CH Dickendall Arnold, is the top producer of AKC Champions in breed history to date. Arnold was a multiple Best in Specialty winner, producing 110 American champions, including 3 Champion-Master Hunters, Guide Dog graduates, performance titles and beloved friends. Arnold’s legacy lives on through his young children. Chill (Arnold’s 109th Champion), sits at her feet as her house dog along with Border Terriers that she has owned and bred since the 1970’s. Because of their wonderful hobby, Lab lovers around the world instantly seem like old friends even though they have never met before.
Mrs. Herr has judged in the U.S., Canada, Wales, Finland, Sweden, Italy, Brazil, Colombia, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Puerto Rico, Argentina, and Mexico. This is her first Westminster assignment.
