Animal Medical Center to receive proceeds from sales of 2011 Westminster poster

An artist from the New York Academy of Art will be selected in a contest to produce the artwork for the 135th Annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, it was announced by the club today.

Annual artwork has been a part of the Westminster celebration since 2004. This is the first time that a competition will determine the artist, whose art will be used as a commemorative poster and for collateral materials such as tickets, guidebook cover, ticket folders, media credentials and more.

It was also announced by the club that proceeds from sales of the poster will go to benefit the Animal Medical Center in New York City in honor of its 100th year as a national leader in animal health care. A longtime partner of Westminster, The AMC is renowned for its expertise in providing medical care for companion animals, as well as outstanding teaching and research.
