2022 Westminster Entry Qualifications

IMPORTANT NOTICE:  As we anticipate the 2022 show under the uncertainty of public health, our top priority will remain the safety and well-being of our exhibitors, judges, show personnel and dogs.  All planning decisions have been guided by governmental mandates, public health guidelines and capacity constraints.  As a result, admission to ALL Pier 36 events will be limited to essential show personnel.  Any changes or updates will be provided on our website and social media channels.

The 146th Annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show
January 24-26, 2022

  • Opening Date:  October 25, 2021
  • Closing Date:  November 19, 2021
  • Qualifying Period:  October 1, 2020, to September 30, 2021             
  • Open to AKC Champions ONLY
    • Dogs must have obtained their AKC Championship by October 25, 2021
  • Invitees:
    • The Top Five (5) AKC Champion of Record Dogs per breed will be invited based on AKC breed rankings from October 1, 2020 through September 30, 2021
    • National Specialty Best of Breed winners for AKC Licensed or Member National Breed Specialties between October 1, 2020 and September 30, 2021 

Masters Obedience Championship
January 24, 2022

  • Entry Limit:  25 dogs
  • Open to:
    • Dogs that have earned their AKC Obedience Trial Championship (OTCH Title)
    • Top 200 Obedience dogs based on AKC OTCH points earned in the qualifying period

Junior Showmanship at Westminster
January 24-26, 2022

  • To Qualify, a Junior Handler will need to have 5 Best Junior wins in the 10/1/20 - 9/30/21 qualifying period 

9th Annual Masters Agility Championship
January 22, 2022

  • Entry Limit:  330 dogs
  • Opening Date:  November 17, 2021
  • Closing Date:  December 22, 2021
  • Open to dogs with MACH & PACH TITLES ONLY
    • Entries will not be accepted without these titles. If entering Preferred, you must have a PACH Title at the time of entering.  If entering Regular, you must have a MACH Title at the time of entry.
