COVID-19 Protocols

The safety and security of all exhibitors, judges, stewards, and essential dog show personnel at the show is paramount to The Westminster Kennel Club (WKC). Every effort will be made to maintain proper protocol at the event. WKC, at a minimum, will follow New York State and City Covid-19 guidelines, requirements, and AKC best practices.

New York City compliance guidelines currently require all attendees (over the age of 12) at public events to be vaccinated for COVID-19. Therefore, proof of vaccination will be required at both Pier 36 and MSG. 

The protocol on providing proof of vaccination will be as follows:

  • All attendees aged 12 and older will be required to provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination (meaning the day of the event is at least 14 days after their final vaccine dose) and identification. 
  • Those younger than 18 may use a government-issued ID, birth certificate, social security card, school ID, or locally issued ID.
  • Children under 12 can attend with a vaccinated adult, but children ages 2 to 11 will need to wear a mask while inside the venues, except while actively eating or drinking.
  • Additional details on the protocol for providing proof of vaccination will be forthcoming.
