Mrs. Doris Cozart

MRS. DORIS COZART of Denton, Texas has been involved in the world of purebred dogs for more than 50 years. A family affair from the beginning, Mrs. Cozart, her husband Gene, and children attended dogs shows together. She has bred and exhibited Poodles, primarily the Toy variety but also Standards. Mrs. Cozart’s breeding program — under the Cotian Kennel prefix — has produced multiple Best in Show Poodles, top producers, and numerous AKC champions.

Mrs. Cozart has served as president of the Poodle Club of America and president of the Dallas/Fort Worth Judges Group. In 1990, she became an AKC licensed judge and is approved to judge the Working, Toy, and Non-Sporting groups, both varieties of Manchester Terriers, Junior Showmanship, and Best in Show. Mrs. Cozart has judged in Finland, Italy, Slovenia, Canada, Philippines, Australia, Norway, South Africa, Korea, Brazil, China, Thailand, and Taiwan. This is her fourth Westminster judging assignment.
