MR. JAMES A. MOSES of Roswell, Georgia has been involved with dogs all his life. Although his mother bred Miniature Poodles, Jim's first dog was a German Shepherd given to him by his father. He finished his first champion at 13 and, by 19, handled the number one dog all breeds in Canada. He has handled dogs to over 1000 Best in Shows, but his more notable wins include the AKC Centennial show and The Westminster Kennel Club show in 1987 with CH Covy Tucker Hill's Manhattan. Mr. Moses also handled the Top Winning Show Dog of All Time, German Shepherd, CH Altana's Mystique. Mr. Moses and Mystique won 275 All-Breed Best in Shows and 30 Best in Specialty wins. In 1999, he was inducted into the Dog Show Hall of Fame. He has always been available to his peers as a source of advice and encouragement. Mr. Moses enjoys balancing breeding, retirement, and judging. He is approved to judge the Toy, Non-Sporting, Working, Terriers, and Herding groups, Best in Show, and numerous Sporting and Hound breeds. This is his third judging assignment at Westminster.
