Mrs. Susan St. John Brown
MRS. SUSAN ST. JOHN BROWN of Divide, Colorado saw an ad for Irish Setter puppies when she was 14 years old. She rode her bike a mile and a half to knock on a stranger's door and offered to work for free if she could just be around the puppies. The breeder immediately agreed, and the following Christmas, she gave Mrs. Brown her first Irish Setter puppy. The rest is history.
