Mr. Peter Green of Bowmansville, Pennsylvania was born in Neath Wales. His uncle, Harold Snow, introduced him at 11-years-old to his life’s passion – showing and breeding terriers. Mr. Green emigrated to the United States, eventually settling in Pennsylvania, where he built his world-wide reputation as a respected terrier man. Mr. Green won Best in Show at the all-terrier Montgomery County Kennel Club Dog Show nine times. He won Best in Show at Westminster four times, a record he holds with Percy Roberts. He also handled the Best in Show winner at Crufts, the Norfolk terrier Ch. Cracknor Cause Celebre. After retiring from handling in 2006, Mr. Green judged Best in Show at Montgomery and at Crufts. He judged the Terrier group at Westminster in 2009. He is approved to judge the Terrier, Toy, and Herding groups, many Non-Sporting breeds, and Best in Show. This is his eighth judging assignment at Westminster.
