On June 8, the 145th Annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show Presented by Purina Pro Plan® held its Press Preview. Westminster Director of Communications Gail Miller Bisher hosted an hour of meeting new and classic dog breeds and fast-paced agility and precision obedience demonstrations. Featured were the four debut breeds at Westminster — Barbet, Belgian Laekenois, Biewer Terrier, Dogo Argentino — to the most popular 19thcentury breeds — St. Bernard, Pointer, Pug — owned and shown by the Gould family, the last owners of Lyndhurst, a National Trust for Historic Preservation property, the site of this year’s Westminster Weekend. Speakers included: Westminster Kennel Club President Charlton Reynders, III, Show Chairman David A. Helming, and Deputy Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins.
