Meet the Pyrenean Shepherd

The Pyrenean Shepherd comes in two varieties, Smooth-Faced and Rough-Faced. He is small, lively dog whose sparkling personality and quicksilver intelligence are reflected in the vibrant expression of his unique triangular head and windswept face. He is a superb athlete, with a beautiful, flowing gait that “shaves the earth.” His high energy and intelligent, cunning, mischievous attitude show that he is always on alert, and ready for action. Originally a herder of sheep in the Pyrenees Mountains; he worked in tandem with the Great Pyrenees who guarded the flocks. It is said that “Nature created this breed. He was made by the mountains and wind”.
