Meet the Welsh Springer Spaniel

The Welsh springer spaniel is an athletic, red-and-white, medium-sized flushing spaniel, bred almost exclusively in Wales until the mid-20th century. Of great pride to their fanciers is the fact that there is little or no difference between the show dog, the hunting dog, or the dog competing in performance events. Continued dedication to the working origin of the breed has allowed this breed to hunt in the field, compete in the show ring and enjoy the company of a family and other dogs. Often referred to as “velcro” dogs, Welsh springer spaniels are extremely devoted to their families.
