Meet the Vizsla

The Hungarian vizsla represents one of the best in sporting dogs and loyal companions. Ancestors of the present vizslas were the trusted and favorite hunting dogs of the Magyar tribes of the 8th century. The vizsla is a medium-sized, short-coated dog of distinguished appearance, golden rust in color. This is a dog of power and drive in the field, yet a tractable and affectionate companion in the home. The vizsla is a natural hunter endowed with a good nose and trainability. He is lively, gentle-mannered, demonstrably affectionate and sensitive, though fearless with a well developed protective instinct.
