American Staffordshire Terrier
The American Staffordshire terrier originated from bulldog-terrier crosses made in the early 1800s. Petey, the dog star of the 1930s “Our Gang” comedies, was one of the first to be AKC registered. The ears may be either cropped or natural, and the weight is proportional to the height. The AmStaff is a loyal, trustworthy and courageous companion, whose intelligence, strength and agility make him an excellent all-around dog.
