Meet the Azawakh

Tall and elegant, the Azawakh is originally from the West African nations of Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger. This slender sighthound has a short, fine coat, which comes in any color or color combination. A trusted guardian and hunter of hare and antelope, he became a constant traveling companion of desert-roaming nomads. This durable breed is very fast outdoors and excels at the sport of Lure Coursing, yet indoors, the Azawakh is a calm indoor family companion.
