The Italian Greyhound is a Greyhound in miniature, his small size the result of selective breeding. While there is some difference of opinion, it seems likely that his original role was both as a hunter of small game and as a companion. He is luxury loving and extremely affectionate, sometimes to the point of neediness, yet being a true hound he requires exercise and outdoor activities.
